This plaque honors Missak Manouchian, Armenian poet and leader of the FTP-MOI resistance group, and his wife Mélinée, who also fought in the Resistance. The couple lived in this modest building while organizing armed actions against the Nazi occupiers. Missak was executed at Mont-Valérien on February 21, 1944, leaving behind a famous last letter to Mélinée.
